Congregational Worship

At the Adel Church of God we have a multigenerational congregation and understand we must address this in our worship.  Our music department works endlessly to create a blended worship service allowing people of all ages to participate.  Songs from the red back hymnal to the latest praise and worship bands are used.

The Music Department

The Music Department consists of two major areas.  The first being the Adel Church of God choir who is made up of volunteers that rehearse weekly to prepare for services and special events.  The choir is led by long time choir director Lucille Gaskins.  Sister Gaskins works hand in hand with our Music Minister, Richie Richeson.  The second area in the Music Department is the Praise and Worship Team.  This team is assembled from volunteers who must first serve in the choir.  Although the choir and praise team are considered two areas in the music department they work together as one.  It is our goal to lead the congregation into the presence of God and prepare their hearts to receive the word of the Lord.
