About our Pastor:

Frankie J. Tyson became the pastor of the Adel Church of God on Sunday, August 21, 2011, along with his wife, Joyce.  Pastor Tyson and his wife’s ministry is well known throughout the country and abroad.  They have served as missionaries, pastors  and church planters with full time ministry that spans over thirty-four years.  He was born in South Georgia and raised by Church of God parents who loved God, family and singing.  He received his education from Lee University and The Church of God Seminary in Cleveland, TN.  Frankie has served as pastor of several churches and as Evangelism Director in Guatemala as well as Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries for South Georgia Church of God and has been a  member of many boards and committees with the Church of God.  Joyce is the daughter of Church of God missionary parents and was born and raised on the mission field in Guatemala.  She is a Lee University graduate that is a credentialed teacher of both Spanish and English as a Second Language.  They are the parents of three sons and one daughter and three grandsons.  Pastor Tyson is known to be an inspiring preacher and teacher of the Gospel.  Together they enjoy spending time with their family, delving deeply into Bible truths, traveling, playing the guitar and piano, singing, and listening to Christian music.

A message from Pastor Frankie

I have a vision of spiritual and numerical growth for the Adel Church of God as well as a desire to minister to this community and area of south Georgia.  This vision includes spreading the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth.  Like the sons of Issachar we “must discern the times and understand what we must do” to win this generation to Jesus Christ.  I believe our church exist to minister truth for today’s times to the body, soul and spirit of the hungry and needy.  My desire is to shepherd the church that love is building and to see every person and family connect to God, connect to people, and connect with their purpose.
